In the description it didnt tell you if the laces should be tied by child or whether they were elastic ones that you can just slip on giving the impression theyre tied, easier for them .. that is the only negative i prefer elasticsted, but theyre nice shoes & the school havent said its an issue wearing them everyday

Wish I had taken photos before I binned them in anger and also looked at the reviews before I purchased these. I have become increasingly disappointed with the ever decreasing quality of Clarks school shoes. Short of a better term, these shoes disintegrated in super quick time. The sole wore down SO quickly and the rubber kick shield crumbled and took chunks out of the sole with it exposing the underside of the fabric sole. The leather itself was poor and more plasticky in grade than I have seen in past Clarks shoes I have purchased. These shoes didn't even last half a term and for the price there are much better quality options out there. My child isn't even a rough and tumble kind of kid and is driven to school too so I wouldn't even put it down to wear and tear. The Clarks shoes previously purchased have always lasted much longer (unless grown out of). Having been a Clarks kids customer for over 10 years this is so disappointing to see. Clarks - please have a word with your design team and factories. I've got another 10 years of school shoes buying left!

Have had to purchase new shoes for new term for grandson as sole fell off after 10 weeks on last pair of this style. When browsing this site I am dismayed to see so many people have had same experience. Grandson disappointed that I won't get this style again; and if we have problems again. I will look elsewhere other than Clarks.

Poor quality, peeling soles

So disappointed. I have been buying Clarks' school shoes for over a decade and have never had shoes that didn't even see a school term to the end. The soles on both shoes peeled away leaving my son's socks and feet wet over the winter months. Have now had to invest in another new pair even though they still fit. This is not the quality to be expected of Clarks. Would not recommend.

I have bought 2 pairs of these already , the last one back in January as old one's were too small. They remained in great condition for this 3rd year in secondary school this Sept, my son plays football every day on the school field and they sustain that with a wipe over ready for the next day, and with good clean and polish at weekend. They are still going strong (literally) so that is the only reason I will be replacing them soon, with exactly the same pair, my son's feet are wide so the H fitting are an excellent fit

My son started wearing these to school Sept 23 and they broke within the month, the sole at the toes came away from the leather upper. I am so disappointed such a product is being sold in Clarks. It must be a product defect as it seems am not the only person who has experienced issues with this particular shoe. Don't bother wasting your money on these!

I bought my son a pair of these in June the soles had come away within a couple of weeks I returned them and got another pair which he started to wear in September the same thing has happened. Very disappointed especially as the sale assistant made out this doesn't usually happen but checking these reviews it seems to be a common problem.

These shoes are excellent quality. I have bought Clarks for the past two academic years. There are cheaper shoes on the market online however, I trust the quality and the stitching to last my son a full year of walking and playing at school in these shoes.

They rubbed his feet raw

We purchased these shoes and within 2 days of wearing them they had rubbed his feet raw. We then looked at the soles and the wear on them was poor. The shop were great and allowed us to exchange them.

First pair bought last September and the toes were ruined before the Christmas, I blamed my son although every year his Clark’s school shoes have lasted him a full school year. By February they were so bad I went to buy him a new pair and when we showed them to the clarks shop where we had bought them from they replaced them! The new pair were wrecked before Easter! It’s as if the fronts are made from a foam rather than the usual hard wearing rubber you usually get with Clarks. DONT buy them!

We have been buying Clarks school shoes for years but no longer. These as well as another style we purchased fell apart after a couple of months of wear. The soles came away from the shoe and the heels are pretty much worn right through. Not worth spending your money on I'm afraid.
